The Best is Yet to Come

In a world often mislead and guided by fear, every now and then we sometimes get a second chance. Where some find beauty only in the most obvious of places, a select few of us however find ways to find the same beauty tucked away between the cracks we cross while walking along a typical sidewalk. Beauty rests solely in the eye of the beholder, some too stubborn to acknowledge that such beauty still exists.

I have seen this beauty, I have met it with majesty and shook its hand.

I have loved and lost, lived and flown free and yet still to this day I can still see such beauty. I remember growing up that I was easily fascinated by the most uninteresting things. Alarm clocks, fences, vacant lots, broken windows to name a few. As you get older you learn more and more each day, evolving and becoming the man, or woman you are meant to become. You learn that what goes up must come down, play with fire you are bound to get burned, and two wrongs do not make a right.

We are taught to believe that the best is yet to come, if this were true does that mean that we may never truly find happiness? If that were at all true the best thing in life would be death, a passing of one’s soul and honestly as morbid as that is, I choose not to believe that is the best life has to offer.
